About

A cybersecurity research organisation. Independent, non-profit in intent, based in Singapore.

What Monkleton Labs is

Monkleton Labs is a cybersecurity research and experimentation organisation, operating independently with no profit intent. The work is driven by a belief that the internet should be safer for everyone — not just those with the technical knowledge or resources to protect themselves.

Any income generated by Monkleton Labs exists strictly to fund further research and experimentation, and to cover the operating costs of tools developed along the way. Nothing more.

Monkleton Labs is registered as a legal entity in Singapore. Registration serves three practical purposes: to provide a transparent home for any operating costs and income; to enable access to business-tier services — cloud infrastructure, developer programmes, and academic research resources — that are necessary for serious experimentation; and to satisfy platform requirements (such as app distribution) that require a named legal entity rather than an individual.

Areas of focus

Threat Research How attacks against individuals actually work — phishing, SIM-swap, credential theft, persistent device compromise, deepfakes, business email compromise.
Practical Methodology Enterprise security frameworks adapted for personal use. Device hardening, account hygiene, identity architecture, operational protocols for high-value actions.
Accessible Tools Free and open tools — the iOS app, GitHub repositories, educational content — that make research outputs usable by anyone, not just security professionals.

How Monkleton Labs works

Research at Monkleton Labs is conducted ethically and responsibly. Monkleton Labs follows coordinated disclosure principles, engages directly with affected vendors where appropriate, and does not publish findings in ways that would cause harm before mitigations exist.

Monkleton Labs has no interest in notoriety. The measure of useful security research is whether it makes someone safer — not whether it makes headlines.

Open work

Where research produces tools or code that can be shared openly, they are published to the Monkleton Labs GitHub organisation.
