Privacy Policy

Who we are

Cyber Safe with Monkleton is developed by Monkleton Labs Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. Monkleton Labs operates with no profit intent. It exists as a research and learning endeavour for a single individual. Any funds generated through the app — such as the optional one-time premium upgrade or voluntary donations — are used exclusively to cover required professional subscriptions and the operating costs of utilities produced by Monkleton Labs. No profit is distributed.

This policy applies to the Cyber Safe with Monkleton iOS application.

What we collect

The app stores the following information locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage. Nothing is transmitted to any server during normal use of the app.

• A display name (username) you choose during setup
• Your country, selected during onboarding
• Your chosen persona and any personas you are helping
• Your score and the IDs of challenges you have completed or marked as pending
• Your premium unlock status, if you have purchased it
• If you use Sign in with Apple: your Apple User ID — an opaque identifier generated by Apple, containing no personal information

None of this information is associated with a real identity unless you choose a username that contains your name.

What we do not collect

• Your real name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Location data beyond the country you select
• Device identifiers, IP addresses, or advertising IDs
• Analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry
• Any information about how you use the app

Advertising and sponsors

The app contains no advertising and is not sponsored. This will not change. The app is funded by people who find it useful — an optional one-time upgrade and voluntary donations — and nothing else.

Third-party services

Sign in with Apple — if you choose to use it, Apple handles authentication entirely. Monkleton Labs receives only an opaque Apple User ID. Apple's privacy policy governs that interaction: apple.com/legal/privacy.

In-app purchases — processed entirely by Apple. Monkleton Labs does not handle or store any payment information. Apple's terms apply.

Future backend (planned) — a future version of the app will optionally sync scores and content with a cloud backend. When this is introduced, this policy will be updated, you will be informed within the app, and participation will be opt-in.

Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ and is designed to be safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from users of any age. The minimal data stored on-device does not constitute personal data under standard definitions.

Your rights

Because we hold no data on any server, there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct, or delete on your behalf. All data the app holds about you is on your own device, under your own control. You can erase it at any time by resetting your profile within the app (Profile → Reset profile) or by deleting the app entirely.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example when a backend is introduced — we will update the date at the top of this document and notify users within the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
