Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 August 2026

Cyber Safe with Monkleton ("the app") is made by Monkleton Labs Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us", "our"). The app is for children aged 9-11 and their families, and we built it to collect as little as possible. In fact, we don't collect any personal information at all. This policy explains that in plain language.

The short version: We do not collect, store, or share any personal information about you or your child. Everything the app does happens on your own device.

1. Information we collect

None. The app does not ask for or collect any personal information - no name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers. There is no account and no login. Children choose a nickname from a preset list (they cannot type their own), and that nickname stays on the device.

2. No tracking, no ads, no analytics

The app contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking software. We don't use cookies or advertising identifiers, and we never show behavioral advertising to anyone - child or adult.

3. Where progress is stored

Your challenge progress and "bananas" are saved only on your device. We cannot see them.

4. Read-aloud (text-to-speech)

The "Read aloud" feature uses your device's built-in voice. Nothing you tap or hear is sent anywhere - it all happens on the device.

5. Links out of the app

Some grown-up resources link to trusted outside websites (for example, Apple Support or official scam-reporting pages). These links sit behind a "grown-ups" gate and open in your browser. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

6. Purchases

Any optional purchases (such as a family pass or tip jar) are handled by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes the payment - we never see your card or payment details.

7. If you contact us

If you email us (for example, using the in-app feedback option), we will receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply to you and improve the app. We do not add you to any mailing list.

8. Teachers testing the app

Teachers can ask to join a small testing group for the app. If you email us from your school email address, we collect that email and the iCloud account ID (Apple ID) you send us, and we use them for one purpose only: to send you a TestFlight invitation through Apple so you can install the test version. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we remove your details from our invite list once the testing programme ends, or sooner if you ask us to. TestFlight is operated by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.

9. Children's privacy

The app is intended for children and is designed to respect children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, and similar rules elsewhere. Because we do not collect any personal information from anyone - including children - there is nothing for us to misuse, sell, or share.

10. Your rights as a parent

Because we don't collect personal information, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, or delete. Your child's on-device data can be cleared at any time from the grown-ups area ("Reset") or by deleting the app.

11. We never sell or share data

We do not sell or share any personal information. Full stop.

12. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version on this page.
